Why I’ve Built SaaS Examples?

I like to stay on top of the latest trends in SaaS marketing and product. And I spend countless hours every month signing up for new products I don’t really need just to check out their UI, email flows, and overall marketing strategy.

Over time it was just too messy to remember everything and manage my swipe file as an endless list of folders and screenshots. So I decided to build a more structured database of SaaS Examples and share it with anyone in the space.

Homepages, landing pages, product descriptions, but also a lot of product UI components. Whatever you’re building next, here you’ll find inspiration through a lot of examples from the top SaaS companies.

Is it really free?

100% Free. Always will be. All it takes to access my 1,000+ SaaS Examples is a free sign-up. I’ll just send you sporadic updates over email every now and then with interesting content tailored for SaaS marketers. I’m sure you’ll love it. If you don’t, you’ll be able to opt-out at any time.

How to use these examples?

Of course, the first rule is: don’t just copy them. It’s not nice to copy someone else work :)

The second rule is: to take them with a grain of salt. What works for a company might now work for someone else. Try to put everything in the context of your industry and your ideal customer profile. A playful design like Mailchimp will not work for someone selling security SaaS tools to large enterprises.

Look at at least 4/5 SaaS examples from your niche, get inspired and then try to build your own unique version.

Finally, keep in mind that inspiration can come in the form of jumping on the latest design trend but can also come in the form of avoiding what everyone else is doing. When I see some design pattern that is over-abused, I try to stay away from it and build something completely unique. Lately, all SaaS products have the same color scheme and illustration style. It’s not that I don’t like it. But I find it bad for branding. I can’t immediately recognize a SaaS brand just from its visuals because they all look the same!

Are the examples up to date?

Yes and No. The system is not automatic and it’s fed by my browsing looking for SaaS Examples I’m actually interested in. For the most popular SaaS companies, I check them back quite often and if a page gets updated, you’ll find the latest version as well as the history of previous versions on the detail page.
